Capital Refit: Westco Rogue Capital Rebuild

In 2009, the company pulled a 600 HP twin-screw vessel out of its marine fleet and completed a 100% refurbishment of the entire vessel.  This capital refit included all new wiring and electronics, bulwarks and sponson, fo’c’sle interior, wheel house interior, rubber, mast, steering, navigational lights, sandblast, paint, and zincs.  This project was managed internally and completed by its own shore crew, and was within 5% of its overall budgeted proposal.  It was a successful project, and the company is developing this component of work as a new division of its current business.
